Upload a photo of your handwritten answer. Our AI reads it via OCR, evaluates it across 7 UPSC-specific dimensions using frontier LLM models, and returns detailed scores, feedback, and a model answer. We use a multi-model strategy for speed and reliability.
What is RAG and how does Assessin use it for better accuracy?
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) searches our curated UPSC knowledge base for relevant content before generating feedback. This ensures model answers, missing points, and suggestions are grounded in factual, exam-relevant information — not generic AI output.
How is the content curated specifically for UPSC?
Our knowledge base is hand-curated from NCERT-aligned sources, government reports, Economic Survey, and current affairs compilations — constantly updated with latest current affairs. Evaluation rubrics are calibrated against real UPSC topper answer sheets* (publicly available).
What is the Assessin Scholar Programme and how does it work?

How do I claim the Scholar Programme reward?
Take screenshots of your Profile/Achievements showing your progress, then email them to support@assessin.in with the subject "Scholar Reward Claim — [Name & Email]". Our team verifies and processes the reward within 3-5 business days.
Can I get a refund if I don't like the service?
We follow a strict no-refund policy for all subscriptions. The Scholar Programme reward is an incentive for completion, not a refund. Try the free plan (2 evaluations/month) before subscribing.
What file formats does Assessin accept for answer uploads?
JPG, PNG, WebP images, or PDF files — up to 10MB per file and 4 pages per answer. For best results, take photos in good lighting with your answer sheet flat and the question written at the top.
Does Assessin work for handwritten answers only?
Yes — Assessin is optimised for handwritten answers, just like the real UPSC exam. The AI evaluates handwriting clarity, diagram usage, and page space utilisation as part of the Presentation dimension.
How is my data protected on Assessin?
We use secure authentication and strict per-user access controls. Uploaded answer images are processed in-memory and not permanently stored on our servers. Your data is never shared externally.
Can I install Assessin as a mobile app?
Yes — Assessin is a Progressive Web App. Install it from your browser on Android, iOS, or desktop and it works exactly like a native app with full offline support.
